In 2002, Dickinson Cameron achieved a significant milestone by constructing their first luxury store. The project truly marked the beginning of DCC’s opening the door to creating exquisite shopping destinations for some of the world’s most prestigious brands. It was the largest project DCC had ever bid and completing the project also solidified Dickinson Cameron’s presence in Honolulu. 

Louis Vuitton’s Gump Building Flagship: A Triumph of Engineering and Design
Among the many jewels in DCC’s portfolio, the Louis Vuitton Gump Building Flagship project shines brightly. DCC managed the demolition of the entire interior basement and the first and second floors, added a second-floor terrace, created a new 7,000 sqft sales area, and revamped the back-of-house facilities. What makes this project even more commendable is that it was completed in just seven months, despite unforeseen structural challenges posed by the 90-year-old historic building. 

Flagship Stores for Iconic Brands: Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Saint Laurent
The company has had the privilege of constructing flagship stores for Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Saint Laurent in Hawaii. These stores not only meet the high standards set by these luxury brands but also enhance Hawaii’s reputation as a global retail destination. As important, is the opportunity to carry on a client’s legacy multiple times over; DCC’s team has renovated several brand locations more than once, building 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation stores. 

Upcoming Projects: DIOR and Fendi
Presently, DCC is actively working on a flagship store for DIOR, an impressive 15,000 sqft space that ranks among the largest projects undertaken for this client. This venture involves merging two lease spaces into one and introducing cutting-edge designs for both the façade and interiors. In addition to the DIOR project, DCC is embarking on a comprehensive renovation of Fendi’s store in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, spanning approximately 3,800 sqft. The project will include new storefront and multilevel sales space.
