The boutique occupies a two-story modern building with a façade that’s encased in floor-to-ceiling marble slabs and storefront glazing. The minimalist sophistication and iconic Art Deco materials echo the brand’s characteristic aesthetics: floors and walls in white statuary marble and black silk marble, structures in polished brass and extra clear glass, leather and nickel-plated brass benches, and suspended hanging rails. The project was designed by Atmosphere Design Group and was completed in 11 weeks.

The store is a completely new two-story flagship built during the pandemic with all the luxury interior finishes that YSL is know for. At 4,600 sqft and facing high street Kalakaua in the Royal Hawaiian Center, the boutique features a grand stairwell that is only the second time YSL has attempted to construct this amazing feature of polished stainless-steel pickets and black marble walls and white marble treads and risers.

DCC was tasked with the renovation of this location in 2 phases, completing each side separately to keep the store open and operational. Scope included all new storefront, signature black and white marble slab walls, custom dressing doors cladded in matching marble, and custom polished concrete floors.
