LOCATION Miami
ARCHITECT Peter Marino / Barteluce Architects & Associates
This ground-up, multiple-level project included extensive core and shell work as well as two-floor interior fit outs that were inclusive of an elevator, central staircase and dumbwaiter. The most challenging part of this build was the impressive 30-foot tall central atrium capped by a 120-square-foot skylight. The construction of the skylight required DCC to sequence in no less than 15 subcontractors as the feature was shored and cut, walls completed, and a massive scaffolding was erected at the atrium opening.
“Without a doubt the planning, coordination of resources and subcontractors, and execution of the atrium was the most complex part of this build. The build was intricate as was the timing. The entire project timeline was dependent on us finishing that piece of the project on time.” Katherine O’Toole, Project Manager
The project was certified LEED Silver.
