Brian’s story with Dickinson Cameron began long before his official tenure. Some of his earliest memories are of accompanying his father, Frank Naliboff, to jobsites, learning the basics of construction—starting with a push broom. These early experiences shaped his meticulous approach, where even today, he views a clean and organized jobsite as a hallmark of efficiency.

In 2013, Brian officially joined DCC as an assistant superintendent, gaining hands-on experience in the field. His early career was defined by complex, high-stakes luxury retail flagships, such as managing dimensions for a sculptural staircase on a flagship retail store. These formative years instilled in him a profound sense of responsibility, teaching him that leadership starts with the willingness to take ownership.

Embracing Innovation and Overcoming Challenges

Brian’s career has been marked by a commitment to innovation, including leading efforts to incorporate technology specifically for luxury retail construction management. While an early attempt to develop proprietary project management software was ultimately unsuccessful, the experience shaped DCC’s approach to adopting cutting-edge tools that enhance efficiency and transparency. His ability to learn from challenges and adapt has been a cornerstone of his success, enabling him to guide the company through evolving industry demands while maintaining its reputation as a premier luxury retail construction manager.

Brian Prescott: A Builder of Teams, Spaces, and Vision

Brian Prescott has been an integral part of DCC for over a decade, beginning his journey as a Superintendent. Over the years, he has risen through the ranks, embodying a practical, solutions-oriented approach that has become a hallmark of his leadership style. As Field Operations Manager, Brian mentored and guided our team of superintendents, ensuring that every project met DCC’s unwavering standards for safety, schedule, and quality.

For Brian, the role of overseeing field operations is more than just managing a jobsite. It’s about taking a raw plan and shaping it into a space that fully captures a client’s vision. “At DCC, it’s less about working for a client and more about partnering with them,” Brian explains. “We value their brand’s vision and how they want to be represented in a physical space. As an architect told me early in my career, ‘You’re not building a store for the customers, but a space to express the client’s vision of themselves.’”

Reflecting on his time at DCC, Brian is most proud of the resilience and dedication his teams have shown, especially during challenging times. “When I look back on the last year, the feeling I have is pride,” he shares. “We really dedicated ourselves to showing up for our clients, and we are a better company today because of it.”
