Tender Greens, an emerging healthy fast casual concept, has chosen DCC to create their last three locations. Their most recent restaurant, in Westwood, marks a new look for the brand that takes their elevated dining philosophy into the space itself.
Located within a historic building in the neighborhood near UCLA, the 1931 building, designed by Architect Howard Wells, proved a unique canvas for incorporating the environmentally friendly aesthetic of Tender Greens’ other restaurants. With a large scale skylight in the main dining room, and signature brick work and archways, an indoor/outdoor feel was created to generate the feeling of the original open air patio that had been enclosed by past occupants.
DCC worked to maintain and reinvent the original architectural features of the building, while also creating a clean and modern feel that mirrors the Tender Greens menu. Westwood officially opened in Summer 2016 and the design will roll out to other markets as Tender Greens continues its rapid expansion.
